About Julie

Julie French is the Executive Director of the Indiana PTA. She attended Purdue University where she obtained her Bachelors and Masters Degrees. She met her husband, Rick, a physics teacher at Franklin Central High School, while at Purdue. Julie and Rick have been married for 37 years and have lived in Warren Township for 27 years. Their children, Melissa, Sarah and Ricky are all graduates of Warren Central High School. They have been blessed with three adorable grandchildren.  


Julie is active in the following:

• a mentor of the high school robotics team
• member of the East Side Rotary Club
• Board member (treasurer) of the Indy Dog Park Coalition
• Indiana School Board Federal Relations Network
• School Board Legislative Liaison
• Sunday School Superintendent and teacher
• Communication Chair and A/V Team Lead for her church
• Active (Past and /or present) at all levels of PTA including local (Lowell, Stonybrook, Raymond Park, Warren Central High School, Warren Township Council of PTAs and at the State level)
• Past Girl Scout Leader
• Past Steering Committee member and Volunteer Coordinator,
  Sonny Day Community Center
• Past Homefest Committee member
• Past Special Olympics volunteer
